Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement Fixed Antenna US6

Removal Procedure

There are three antenna extension cables used in the fixed antenna system. The following are procedures to service all three.


    Object Number: 182427  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Disconnect the antenna extension cable from the antenna.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  4. Remove the right carpet retainer. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement .
  5. Remove the right center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Pull back the right side carpet to gain access to the wiring harness.

  8. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  9. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  10. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  11. Cut the visible ends of the extension cable(s) to be replaced.
  12. Remove the antenna extension cable(s) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 182417  Size: SH

    Important: Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the wiring harness. Ensure that the cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in) in order to avoid any possible damage to the cable.

  1. Install and connect the antenna extension cable(s) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  3. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  4. Install the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  5. Install the right side carpet.
  6. Install the right side center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the right side carpet retainer. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement .
  8. Install the rear seat cushion and rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .

  9. Object Number: 182427  Size: SH
  10. Connect the antenna extension cable to the antenna.
  11. Close the rear compartment.

Removal Procedure

There are three antenna Extension cables used in the rear window antenna system. The front two cables are an integral part of the vehicle wiring harness. The following is a procedure to service all of the cables.

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the right upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Lower the rear headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Roof.

  4. Object Number: 362118  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the antenna extension cable from the amplifier.

  6. Object Number: 182420  Size: MH
  7. Remove the antenna extension cable and tape from the C-pillar.
  8. Remove the right rear carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Remove the right center lower pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in interior Trim.
  10. Pull back the rear carpet.
  11. Remove the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  12. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  13. Remove the right front carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  14. Pull back the front carpet.
  15. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .

  16. Object Number: 362094  Size: SH
  17. Cut the visible ends of the extension cable(s) in the instrument panel compartment area to be replaced.

  18. Object Number: 362093  Size: SH
  19. Cut the visible ends of the extension cable(s) in the rear shelf area to be replaced.

  20. Object Number: 182417  Size: SH
  21. Remove the antenna extension cable(s) cut ends from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 182412  Size: SH
  1. Install the antenna extension cable(s) to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 362090  Size: SH

    Important: Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the wiring harness.

    Ensure that the cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in), in order to avoid any possible damage to the cable.

  3. Route and secure the antenna extension cable(s) to the vehicle.

  5. Route and secure the antenna extension cable(s) to the vehicle.
  6. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  7. Pull back the front carpet.
  8. Install the right front carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  10. Install the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  11. Pull back the rear carpet.
  12. Install the right center lower pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  13. Install the right rear carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.

  14. Object Number: 362118  Size: SH
  15. Connect the antenna extension cable to the amplifier.

  16. Object Number: 182420  Size: MH
  17. Install the antenna extension cable and tape to the C-pillar.
  18. Install the rear headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Roof.
  19. Install the right upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  20. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
