Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear speaker grille nuts from the bottom of the rear speaker grille.
  3. Remove the rear speaker griller retainer by releasing from the rear window trim panel and pulling up and out on the rear speaker grille.
  4. Remove the rear speaker griller from the rear window trim panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear speaker grille to the rear window trim panel.
  2. Align the rear speaker griller to the rear window trim panel and press into the rear window trim panel locking in retainers.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the nuts to the bottom of the rear speaker grille.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear speaker grille nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement .
