Removal Procedure
- Remove the traction control
switch. Refer to
Electronic Traction Control Switch Replacement
.
- Remove the IP accessory Trim Plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Open the front floor console compartment.
- Remove the bolts/screws from the front floor console trim plate.
- Pull up on the front floor console trim plate to release the retainer
clips.
- Lift the front floor console trim plate up and over the transaxle
shift lever.
- Remove the front floor console trim plate from the front floor
console.
Installation Procedure
- Align the front floor
console trim plate to the front floor console.
- Install the traction control switch. Refer to
Electronic Traction Control Switch Replacement
.
- Position the front floor console trim plate over transaxle shift
lever.
- Install the front floor console trim plate to the front floor
console and snap into place.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts/screws
to front floor console trim plate.
Tighten
Tighten the front floor console trim plate bolts/screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Close the front floor console compartment.
- Install the IP accessory Trim Plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement
