Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment.

    2. Object Number: 324477 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector at the key cylinder.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.

    4. Object Number: 318879 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolts from the rear compartment latch actuator to latch.
  5. Remove the rear compartment lid lock actuator from the latch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 318879 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear compartment lid lock actuator to the latch.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the bolts to the rear compartment lid lock actuator to latch.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment lid actuator bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the actuator.

    4. Connect the electrical connector at the key cylinder.

  4. Close the rear compartment.
