Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 176192  Size: SH
  3. Open the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.

  4. Object Number: 176213  Size: SH
  5. Remove the recliner to seat cushion frame roll pins. Discard the old roll pins.
  6. Remove the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
  7. Remove the recliner from the seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 176213  Size: SH
  1. Install the recliner to the seat cushion frame.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the recliner to seat cushion frame roll pins. Use new roll pins.

  6. Object Number: 176192  Size: SH
  7. Close the J-retainers on both side of the seat cushion cover.
  8. Install the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
