For 1990-2009 cars only
The rear compartment is released when the following conditions exist:
| • | The vehicle is in PARK. |
| • | The rear compartment lid release is operated by the key fob or the switch. |
The rear compartment lid release relay is supplied battery voltage when the transaxle range switch is in the PARK position. When the rear compartment lid release switch is operated it grounds the rear compartment lid release relay and energizes the rear compartment lid lock release actuator. This will release the rear compartment.
