For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the coolant heater cord retainer from the upper radiator support.
- Disconnect the left coolant heater electrical connector.
- Cut the engine left coolant heater cord strap (1) at the engine wiring harness.
- Remove the right coolant heater cord from behind the power steering pump (3).
- Cut the upper right coolant heater cord strap (2) at the engine wiring harness near the power steering lines.
- Cut the lower right coolant heater cord strap (1) at the engine wiring harness near the power steering lines
- Disconnect the right coolant heater electrical connector (3).
- Remove the coolant heater cord from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the coolant heater cord to the vehicle.
- Connect the right coolant heater electrical connector (3).
- Install a new lower right coolant heater cord strap at the engine wiring harness by the power steering lines (1).
- Install a new upper right coolant heater cord strap (2) at the engine wiring harness by the power steering lines.
- Install the right coolant heater cord behind the power steering pump (3).
- Install a new engine left coolant heater cord strap (1) at the engine wiring harness.
- Connect the left coolant heater electrical connector (4).
- Install the coolant heater cord retainer to the upper radiator support.
Notice: The heater cord must not touch the engine, hot pipes, manifold, or any moving parts. Route the cord to the left front of the engine compartment securing with tie straps as necessary to prevent damage.
