Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 176146  Size: SH
  1. If the vehicle is equipped with a power drivers seat, remove the following components:
  2. • The front adjuster finish cover
    • The rear adjuster finish cover
  3. If the vehicle is equipped with the 2-way manual driver and passenger seats, perform the following steps:
  4. • Unsnap the front adjuster finish covers.
    • Remove the finish cover screws from the rear inner and outer adjuster.
    • Remove the finish covers from the rear inner and outer adjuster.
  5. Position the seat completely forward.

  7. Reposition the integral sleeve on the seat anchor bracket to expose the seat belt nut.
  8. Remove the nut from the bracket.
  9. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  10. Remove the seat adjuster bolts.
  11. Tilt the seat forward and disengage the front hooks from the floor pan.
  12. If equipped, disconnect the seat electrical harness connector.
  13. Remove the seat.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the seat in the vehicle.
  2. Tilt the seat forwards and engage the front hooks in the floor pan.
  3. Connect the seat electrical harness connector.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the seat adjuster bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  7. Install the seat belt bracket nut.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  9. Reposition the integral sleeve on the seat anchor bracket to cover the seat belt nut.
  10. Position the seat completely rearward.
  11. If the vehicle is equipped with the 2-way manual driver and passenger seats, perform the following steps:
  12. • Snap the front adjuster track covers in place.
    • Install the finish covers to the rear inner and outer adjuster.
    • Install the finish cover screws to the rear inner and outer adjuster.

    Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  13. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  14. If the vehicle is equipped with a power driver seat, press into place the following components:
  15. • The front adjuster finish cover
    • The rear adjuster finish cover
  16. Inspect the seat to ensure proper operation.
