Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 642120 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the left instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Disconnect the BCM electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the BCM by pushing the BCM up and pulling the bottom out of the mounting bracket slot.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 642120 Size: SH
  1. Install the BCM by pushing the top of the BCM up into the mounting bracket. Then, while holding the BCM up, engage the bottom into the mounting bracket slot.
  2. Connect the BCM electrical connectors.
  3. Install the left IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  5. Set up the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
