Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 176192  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat belt buckle. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts.
  4. Open the J-retainers on the bottom of the cushion cover.
  5. Slide the cushion cover upwards to expose the hardware that attaches the recliner to the seat back.
  6. Remove the roll pins that secure the recliner to the seat back. Discard the old roll pins.
  7. Remove the pivot bolts that secure the recliner to the seat back frame.
  8. Remove the seat cushion from the seat back.

  10. Unfasten the hook and loop retainers that secure the front seat cushion cover to the cushion pad.
  11. Carefully pull the front seat cushion cover away from the cushion pad.

Installation Procedure

  1. Carefully pull the front seat cushion cover over the cushion pad.
  2. Fasten the hook and loop retainers that secure the front seat cushion cover to the cushion pad.
  3. Install the seat cushion to the seat back.

  4. Object Number: 176192  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the pivot bolts that secure the recliner to the seat back frame.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the pivot bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install new roll pins that secure the recliner to the seat back.
  8. Slide the cushion cover downwards and install the J-retainers on the bottom of the seat cushion trim cover.
  9. Install the seat belt buckle. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts.
  10. Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
