Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat track adjuster covers from the front of the adjusters both manual and the power seats.
- Remove the rear seat adjuster track cover retaining screw from the rear adjuster track cover, manual seat.
- Remove the track cover.
- For power seats, using a flat-bladed tool, lift up to remove the rear seat adjuster track cover retainer tab. Remove the cover from the rear of the adjuster.
Installation Procedure
- For the power seat, install the rear track adjuster covers to the rear of the adjuster.
- Install the rear manual seat adjuster track cover retaining screw to the rear adjuster track cover, manual seat.
- Install the front seat track adjuster cover to the front seat adjuster for both manual and power seats.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the rear manual seat adjuster track cover retaining screw to
2 N·m (18 lb in).
