Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  2. Position the seat full forward and the seat back full up.

  3. Object Number: 787089  Size: SH
  4. Remove the seat belt nut (1) to the seat bracket stud.

  5. Object Number: 176196  Size: SH
  6. Unfasten the J-hook retainers at the bottom of the seat back cover.
  7. Position the seat back full down.
  8. Reach inside of the cover and unfasten the hook and loop retainer securing the front seat back cover to the pad.
  9. Position the seat back to the vertical position.
  10. Remove the head restraint guide.
  11. Pull out the seat back cover end flap.

  12. Object Number: 176199  Size: SH
  13. Carefully remove the seat back cover from the seat back by pulling the seat cover up and over the pad.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 176199  Size: SH
  1. Carefully pull the seat back cover down over the seat back pad and align the hook and loop retainers.
  2. Use firm hand pressure to fasten the hook and loop retainers, securing the seat back cover to the seat back pad.
  3. Install the head restraint guide.

  4. Object Number: 176196  Size: SH
  5. Slide the cushion cover downwards and fasten the J-retainer on the bottom of the seat cushion cover.
  6. Install the cover end flap.

  7. Object Number: 787089  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the seat belt nut (1) to the seat bracket stud.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
