Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.



3. Reposition the outlet hose clamp from the heater core use J 38185 .
4. Disconnect the outlet hose from the heater core.



5. Reposition the outlet hose clamp from the heater pipe adapter use J 38185 .
6. Disconnect the outlet hose from the heater pipe adapter.

1. Connect the outlet hose to the heater core.

Important: Position the heater hose clamp in the indicated location.

2. Install the outlet hose clamp to the heater core use J 38185 .



3. Connect the outlet hose to the heater pipe adapter.
4. Install the outlet hose clamp to the heater pipe adapter use J 38185 .
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
