Some customers may comment that the cruise control switch light does not come on when the button is pressed.
Install a ground wire to the IP harness. Use the procedure listed below.
• | Obtain standard stock 20 gauge black wire and cut to a length of 483 mm (19 in). |
• | Obtain ring terminal, P/N 12089496, and male terminal, P/N 12059894, from your Delphi Terminal Repair kit J 38125. |
• | Strip 5 mm (3/16 in) of insulation from each end of the wire. |
• | Crimp the ring terminal, P/N 12089496, to one end of the wire. |
• | Crimp the male terminal, P/N 12059894, to the other end of the wire. |
• | Solder all crimps with rosin core solder. |
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
