YEAR: 1994-1995
This bulletin supplements the Oldsmobile Product Campaign Bulletin "95-C-01", dated July 1994, to revise the "VEHICLES INVOLVED" information. The campaign is being expanded to include additional vehicles, within the original VIN breakpoints.
Certain, but not all, 1994 - 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight and Ninety Eight vehicles within the breakpoints listed below:
1994 H H EIGHTY EIGHT RH352207 RH353594 1994 H 4 EIGHTY EIGHT R4827641 R4827849 1995 H 4 EIGHTY EIGHT S4800009 S4801194 1994 C 4 NINETY EIGHT R4326629 R4326634 1995 C 4 NINETY EIGHT S4300018 S4300545
Only certain vehicles within these VIN breakpoints are affected. Please refer to your retailer campaign listing, or the Vehicle Information Service System (VISS) to determine if a specific vehicle is involved.
If you received a computer VIN listing with this bulletin supplement, "95-C-01 A", our records indicate that you currently have assigned vehicles which were added to the original vehicle population from bulletin "95-C-01". The computer VIN listing for bulletin "95-C-01 A", contains only the "added" VINs. Therefore, both the original VIN listing from "95-C-01" and the VIN listing for "95-C-01 A" must be referenced to determine if you have any assigned vehicles. Also, the Vehicle Information Service System (VISS) may be referenced to determine if a vehicle is involved.
Each of the vehicles contained on the two (2) computer listings will need to be inspected, or inspected and repaired as per the "SERVICE PROCEDURE" in bulletin "95-C-01". Any retailer not receiving a computer listing with the "95-C-01 " and the "95-C-01 A" bulletins has no involved vehicles currently assigned.
Involved vehicles have been identified by Vehicle Identification Number listings. Computer listings contain the complete Vehicle Identification Number, owner name and address data, and are furnished to involved retailers with the campaign bulletin. Owner name and address data furnished will enable retailers to follow-up with owners involved in this campaign.
These listings may contain owner names and addresses obtained from State Motor Vehicle Registration Records. The use of such motor vehicle registration data for any purpose is a violation of law in several states. Accordingly, you are urged to limit the use of this listing to the follow-up necessary to complete this campaign. Any retailer not receiving a computer listing with the campaign bulletin has no involved vehicles currently assigned.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
