Removal Procedure

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to the
Fuel Pressure Relief
.
- Remove the aluminum gas cover facade
- Remove the gas filler cap in order to relieve the fuel tank vapor
pressure.
- Remove the plastic seal ring below the aluminum gas cover facade.
- Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor (3) electrical
connector.
- Remove the plastic tie down that holds the pressure sensor to
the sending unit.
- Remove the fuel pressure sensor (3).
Installation Procedure
- Install
the fuel pressure sensor (3).
- Install the new plastic tie down.
- Connect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Install the plastic seal ring.
- Install the gas filler cap.
- Install the aluminum gas cover facade
- Install the fuel filler cap.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
