Removal Procedure

    Caution: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear license plate in order to gain access to the EVAP vent valve.
  3. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent valve (2) electrical connector.
  4. Lift up on the solenoid retaining tab and remove the solenoid from the mounting bracket.
  5. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 626251 Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP vent valve (4) to the solenoid mounting tab.
  2. Connect the EVAP canister vent valve electrical connector.
  3. Reinstall the rear license plate.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
