1. Remove the left underdash or insulator panel.
2. Remove the engine dress cover.
3. Remove the upper plastic wiper arm cowl.
4. Remove the center plastic wiper arm cowl.
5. Remove the accelerator controls cable from the accelerator pedal.
6. Squeeze the accelerator controls cable cover tangs and push the cable through the bulkhead.



7. Remove the accelerator controls cable from accelerator controls cable bracket.
8. Remove the accelerator controls cable from the throttle body lever.

Notice: In order to prevent possible interference and damage, flexible components (hoses, wires, conduits, etc.) must not be routed within 50 mm (2 in) of moving parts, unless the routing is positively controlled.

Important: Accelerator controls cable must be routed through groove in throttle body lever and seated securely.

1. Install the accelerator controls cable at the throttle body lever.
2. Install the accelerator controls cable at the accelerator controls cable bracket.



3. Route the accelerator controls cable through the dash.
4. Secure the retainer at the dash.
5. Secure the cable at the accelerator controls pedal.

Important: Check for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating accelerator controls pedal. Also check for poor carpet fit under the accelerator controls pedal. The throttle should operate freely without bind between full closed and wide open throttle (WOT).

6. Install the left underdash or insulator panel.
7. Install the center plastic wiper arm cowl.
8. Install the upper plastic wiper arm cowl.
9. Install the engine dress cover.
