Makes 🢒 Oldsmobile 🢒 1997 🢒 Silhouette Ext. 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Electrical 🢒 Spark Plug Wires Not Operating Properly

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.

    2. Important: Note the position of the wires and the wire looms before removing.

  2. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from front spark plugs by twisting the boot 1/2 turn before removing the spark plug boot.
  3. Remove the spark plug wire retaining clips from the engine.

    4. Object Number: 162803 Size: SH
  4. Rotate the engine forward. Refer to Engine Mechanical.
  5. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the rear spark plug(s).

    6. Object Number: 162832 Size: SH
  6. Remove the spark plug wire retaining clips from rear of the engine.
  7. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the ignition coil(s).

    8. Object Number: 162818 Size: SH
  8. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the engine.

    9. Important: If replacing the spark plug wires, transfer any of the spark plug wire conduit or the spark plug wire retaining clips.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the engine.
  2. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the ignition coil(s).

    3. Object Number: 162818 Size: SH
  3. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the rear spark plug(s).

    4. Object Number: 162832 Size: SH
  4. Install the spark plug wire retaining clips to rear of the engine.
  5. Return engine to proper position. Refer to Engine Mechanical.
  6. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the front spark plug(s).

    7. Object Number: 162803 Size: SH
  7. Install the spark plug wire retaining clips to front of the engine.
