Symptom

There may be a rattle noise coming from the rear Axel while the vehicle is in motion.

Possible Cause

The park brake cable (3) may be contacting the rear Axel (4).

Diagnosis

Visually inspect the park brake cable. Check for proper orientation of the park brake cable isolator (1) to the rear Axel (4).

Corrective Action

1. Reposition the park brake cable isolator (1) as close as possible to the park brake cable equalizer (2).
2. Rotate the park brake cable so the cable (3) is positioned in the formed channel of the insulator (1). The opposite side of the isolator (1) should be resting on the rear Axel (4).
