  1. Disconnect the auto level control sensor connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the automatic level control sensor supply voltage circuit and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 3

Connect a test lamp between the automatic level control sensor supply voltage circuit and the automatic level control sensor ground circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the automatic level control sensor accessory power circuit and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a 10 A fused jumper between the automatic level control sensor exhaust solenoid control circuit and a good ground.

Does the exhaust solenoid activate and vent air?

Go to Step 15

Inspect the fuse in the jumper wire.

Did the fuse in the jumper open?

  1. Leave the 10 A fused jumper connected.
  2. Disconnect the automatic level control air compressor connector.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the automatic level control compressor motor supply voltage circuit and automatic level control comprssor exhaust solenoid control circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the automatic level control exhaust solenoid control circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in the automatic level control compressor motor supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the automatic level control sensor supply voltage circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the battery positive voltage circuit of the automatic level control inflation time relay for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the automatic level control inflation timer relay.

Repair the open in the automatic level control sensor ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
