Removal Procedure

Important: Use masking tape for protection of the paint and alignment marks for alignment of the new wind deflector.


    Object Number: 741362  Size: SH
  1. Apply tape to area around wind deflector.
  2. Mark the location of the wind deflector using a grease pencil.
  3. Using the J 25070 152 mm (6 in) from the surface, heat the wind deflector for 30 seconds using a circular motion.
  4. Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing an emblem/name plate.

  5. Remove the wind deflector from the roof using a small plastic flat-bladed tool.

  6. Object Number: 321645  Size: SH
  7. Remove all adhesive from the roof surface using 3M™ scotch brite molding adhesive remover disk 3M™ P/N 07501 or equivalent.
  8. Clean the roof surface using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 741362  Size: SH

    Important: Do not touch the adhesive backing on the wind deflector.

  1. Remove the protective liners from the wind deflector adhesive backing.
  2. Position the wind deflector to the alignment marks on the roof surface.
  3. Working from the center to the ends of the wind deflector, push down firmly to secure the wind deflector to the roof surface.
  4. Remove all tape and alignment marks from the roof surface.
