THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CORRECT THE FIGURE NUMBER REFERENCE FOR THE LAMP CONTROL MODULE AND TO INCLUDE COMPONENT LOCATION INFORMATION. ARTWORK REMAINS THE SAME.
PLEASE REPLACE "TWILIGHT SENTINEL: ON VEHICLE SERVICE" "LAMP CONTROL MODULE" AND "FIGURE 6 - LAMP CONTROL MODULE" FOUND IN THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE AND ATTACHED FIGURE.
THE "COMPONENT LOCATION" ON PAGES 9C-17, 8A-100-5, 8A-101-7, 8A-110-25, AND 8A-117-9 REFERS TO THE LOCATION OF THE LAMP CONTROL MODULE AS "BEHIND CENTER OF I/P, ABOVE HVAC CASE". THE CORRECT LOCATION IS "BEHIND CENTER OF I/P, BELOW HVAC CASE".
LAMP CONTROL MODULE
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. RIGHT SOUND INSULATOR (OLDSMOBILE AND BUICK), LEFT SOUND INSULATOR (PONTIAC).
2. PUSH IN LOCKING TAB AND SLIDE LAMP CONTROL MODULE TO THE LEFT.
3. MODULE FROM BRACKET. - IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO PULL BACK THE HVAC DUCT TO HAVE ENOUGH CLEARANCE TO REMOVE LAMP CONTROL MODULE.
4. DISCONNECT 2 ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. TWO ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS TO MODULE.
2. LAMP CONTROL MODULE TO BRACKET. - IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO PULL BACK THE HVAC DUCT TO INSTALL MODULE.
3. SOUND INSULATOR.
