REV Test
The following procedure may be used in order to verify the operation
of the cruise control system.
- Using a scan tool, command the powertrain control module (PCM)
to inhibit the cruise control (or ground terminal H of the cruise control
module).
- Set the park brake.
- Start the engine.
- Place the CRUISE switch in the OFF position.
- Place the CRUISE switch in the ON position.
Wait at least three minutes before you perform the next step.
- Press and hold the SET button.
- Hold the CRUISE switch in the R/A position.
- Fully press and hold the brake pedal.
Wait 10 seconds.
- While still pressing the R/A switch and SET button,
release the brake pedal.
- The engine RPMs should increase momentarily, then return to normal.
- Clear any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
