Use the following procedure if a weld stud on an outer panel becomes damaged or broken off:

1. Drill a small hole in the panel next to the original weld stud location.
2. Complete one of the following steps:

•	Insert a self-sealing screw through the original clip and into the outer panel.

•	Replace the damaged weld stud with a self-sealing, screw-type weld stud.
