Removal Procedure

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.

  2. Object Number: 535633  Size: SH
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  4. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from engine oil level sensor.
  6. Remove the engine oil level sensor from the oil pan.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 535633  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine oil level sensor.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Add the engine oil to the correct level. For the crankcase oil capacity, refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities in Maintenance and Lubrication.
