J 44363 Sunroof Alignment Pins

1. If replacing the sunroof module assembly with a new replacement module, remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
2. Remove the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
3. If reinstalling the original sunroof, cycle the sunroof window to the rear.
4. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
5. Disconnect the electrical harness.



6. Cut the tie wraps from the drain hoses.
7. Remove the drain hoses from the sunroof module assembly drain spouts.



8. Remove the sunroof module assembly to the roof bolts (1).
9. When lowering the sunroof module assembly, ensure the coaxial cable to the antenna module does not interfere with the sunroof module assembly.
10. Remove the sunroof module assembly from the vehicle.

1. Position the sunroof module assembly to the roof opening.
2. Ensure not to pinch the coaxial cable to the antenna module located at the left rear side of the inner roof panel.
3. Install the 2 center bolts into the module assembly in order to hold the sunroof module into position.
4. Hand start the sunroof module assembly bolts (1) into the roof module.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

5. Use the J 44363 in order to align the sunroof assembly to the sunroof opening. Install the alignment pins through the sunroof alignment holes (2) into the roof alignment holes.

Tighten
Tighten the sunroof module to roof bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

6. Remove the J 44363 .



7. Install the drain hoses to the drain spouts on the sunroof module.

Important: When installing the new drain hose tie wraps, position the tie wraps to maintain clearance between the tie wraps and the headliner.

8. Secure the drain hoses to the sunroof module assembly drain spouts with new tie wraps.
9. Connect the electrical harness to the sunroof module assembly.
10. Install the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
11. If the sunroof window was removed, install the sunroof window and loosely install the screws. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
12. Adjust the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment .

Important: Verify the operation of the sunroof, before installing the headliner.

13. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
