Service VME - Incorrect Personalization Door Lock Function - kw DIC park shift unlock

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some owners may report on 2004 Bonneville GXPs that the personalization feature will always lock all doors when shifted out of park, and always unlock doors when shifted back in park. This occurs no matter how the driver sets the personalization for Auto Lock/Unlock feature. This can be corrected with the Tech 2. Build the vehicle as follows: 2004 Pontiac Bonneville GXP, Body, DIM, Special Functions, Set Options, DIC Option and turn the "DIC Present" bit on.

Note: Vehicles built after 4/08/04 and VIN 1G2HZ54Y44U244632 do not have this concern.
