The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment on an audible moan/squawk type noise that is heard during low speed turning maneuvers.
Notice: It is not uncharacteristic for these noises to begin after the vehicle is a few years old and/or has accumulated some mileage.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Replace the power steering gear outlet (return) hose assembly per TSB 02-02-32-001D. Refer to the Power Steering Return Hose Replacement procedure in the Power Steering System sub-section of the Service Manual.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
