TBI COVER STUD HOOD CLEARANCE WRONG COVER STUDS

We have heard of some instances where the TBI cover studs, Part Number 10029535, are being ground at dealerships to obtain adequate clearance to the hood.

To obtain product information when encountering this condition, please arrange for these studs to be replaced prior to any grinding operation. Please forward the TBI cover studs to the attention of Don Widener, Plant 9 Reliability, Pontiac Motor Division.

The installation torque is 4.5 to 7.0 Newton Meters for this stud.
