--------- 1. Intermittent or constant "Deck Ajar" light;
2. Rear compartment light always on. (These conditions cause battery drain.)
------ Over-slam of the rear deck lid or misadjustment of the rear compartment light/"Ajar" switch.
---------- On late production 1984 Fiero models, a white cap switch (Figure 1), is replaced with a black cap switch (Figure 2), Part Number 20545277. All new production Fiero vehicles are equipped with the new black cap switch.
On early production 1984 Fiero models, a black plunger switch (Figure 3), was used. A replacement to this original switch is now available. The replacement switch is Part Number 20629923.
Do not over-torque the nut on either replacement switch.
