FUEL PUMP SENDER INOPERATIVE BLOWN FUSE- FUEL PUMP

CONDITION: NO START OR RUN CONDITION DUE TO AN INOPERATIVE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP SENDER UNIT AND/OR FUEL PUMP FUSE IS BLOWN. CAUSE: RADIO FILTER NETWORK ON THE FUEL LEVEL SENDER UNIT SHORT CIRCUITS. CORRECTION: REPLACE FUEL LEVEL SENDER UNIT (IDENTIFIED BY BLACK R.F.I. FILTER NETWORK ON TOP OF ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP) WITH THE SAME PART NUMBER FUEL LEVEL. SENDER UNIT (IDENTIFIED BY WHITE COLOR), P/N 25003251. NOTICE: ALL SENDERS WITH WHITE COLOR R.F.I. FILTER NETWORKS CAN BE USED. SENDERS WITH BLACK COLOR R.F.I. FILTER NETWORKS CAN BE USED AFTER JULIAN DATE CODE 0864 (MARCH 26, 1984). AS SHOWN IN THE ILLUSTRATION, THE FOUR DIGIT DATE CODE IS LOCATED ON A YELLOW TAG ON THE SENDER WIRE HARNESS AND ALSO ON THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP BODY.
