1. Remove the transmission oil pan and filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement



2. Disconnect the transmission pressure switch electrical connector.



3. Disconnect the 1-2 shift solenoid electrical connector.



4. Disconnect the 2-3 shift solenoid electrical connector.



5. Disconnect the pressure control solenoid electrical connector.



6. Disconnect the TCC control solenoid electrical connector.



7. Disconnect the wiring harness and the solenoid electrical connector.



8. Disconnect the 3-2 control solenoid electrical connector.



9. Remove the torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid bolts.



10. Remove the TCC solenoid from the transmission case.
11. Remove the wiring harness bolts. Lay the wiring harness aside.



12. Remove the transmission fluid pressure switch bolts.
13. Remove the transmission fluid pressure switch.



14. Remove the manual shift detent spring bolt.
15. Remove the manual shift detent spring.



16. Remove the remaining control valve body bolts.



17. Remove the manual valve link.



18. Remove the control valve body.
19. Inspect the control valve body.

Notice: Torque valve body bolts in a spiral pattern starting from the center. If the bolts are torqued at random, valve bores may be distorted and inhibit valve operation.

1. Install the control valve body.



2. Install the manual valve link.



3. Install the control valve body bolts.



4. Install the manual shift detent spring.
5. Install the manual shift detent spring bolt.



6. Install the transmission fluid pressure switch.
7. Install the transmission fluid pressure switch bolts.



8. Install the wiring harness.
9. Install the wiring harness bolts.
10. Install the TCC solenoid.
11. Install the TCC solenoid O-ring seal.



12. Install the TCC solenoid bolts.



13. Disconnect the 3-2 control solenoid electrical connector.



14. Disconnect the wiring harness and the solenoid electrical connector.



15. Disconnect the TCC control solenoid electrical connector.



16. Disconnect the pressure control solenoid electrical connector.



17. Disconnect the 2-3 shift solenoid electrical connector.



18. Disconnect the 1-2 shift solenoid electrical connector.



19. Disconnect the transmission pressure switch electrical connector.

Tighten
Tighten all the bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

20. Install the transmission oil pan and the filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement
