Make 30 to 40 normal starts. Do not over heat.

Does the clutch still slip?

Check to see if the clutch driven plate is oil soaked.

Is the clutch driven plate oil soaked?

  1. Correct the leak at the source. Refer to Oil Leak Diagnosis in Engine Mechanical.
  2. Replace the clutch driven plate. Refer to Clutch Pressure and Driven Plate Replacement .

Does the clutch still slip?

Check the clutch driven plate for a worn facing or if the facing is torn from the clutch driven plate.

Is the clutch driven plate facing worn?

Replace the clutch driven plate. Refer to Clutch Pressure and Driven Plate Replacement .

Check for a warped pressure plate or a weak diaphragm spring.

Is the pressure plate warped or the diaphragm spring weak?
