For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect all components for excessive wear and replace as necessary.
- Perform pinion depth measurement and adjustment. Refer to Pinion Depth Adjustment .
- Install the differential drive pinion gear, bearing races, and new pinion seal from housing. Refer to Drive Pinion Assemble .
- Install the differential carrier to housing. Refer to Differential Carrier Replacement .
- Perform side bearing preload adjustment and measurement. Refer to Differential Carrier Bearing Preload Adjustment .
- Perform a backlash adjustment and measurement. Refer to Backlash Adjustment .
