  1. Disconnect the radio power antenna connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ACCY position.
  3. Turn the radio on.
  4. Connect a test light between terminal A of the radio power antenna connector and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Connect the test light between the radio power antenna connector terminals A and C.

Does the test light illuminate?

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 1040.
