Headlamp Door Squeaks When Opening or Closing (Apply Lubricant)

Some owners may comment that the right, left or both headlamp doors squeak when opening or closing.

Apply white lubricant, P/N 12346293 or equivalent, to the two hinge pivot points (1) on the headlamp door mechanism as shown in the above figure. The figure is the right headlamp assembly with the body colored headlamp cover (2) cut-away to allow for viewing of the pivot points. After applying the lubricant, open and close the headlamp door until the squeak goes away. Apply additional lubricant, if necessary. Repeat on the other headlamp.
