For 1990-2009 cars only
- Use an appropriate tool in order to hold the timing belt pulley during disassembly.
- Remove the retaining bolt of the timing belt pulley from the camshaft.
- Remove the timing belt pulley from the camshaft.
- Remove the camshaft sensor from the camshaft sensor housing.
- Remove the 3 camshaft sensor housing bolts and the camshaft sensor housing from the cylinder head.
- Loosen all valve adjusting screw lock nuts (2).Turn the adjusting screws back all the way to allow all rocker arms to move freely.
- Gradually remove the 12 camshaft housing bolts and the housings in the sequence that is shown.
- Remove the camshaft from the cylinder head.
Important: Before removing the camshaft housing from the cylinder head, place a shop rag under the housing in order to catch any oil.
