For 1990-2009 cars only
- Lubricate the gears with clean engine oil.
- Install the outer gear and the inner gear of the oil pump to the oil pump body.
- Fill the oil pump with petroleum jelly in order to prime the oil pump.
- Install the oil pump cover to the oil pump body. Secure the cover with five screws.
- Lubricate and install the pressure relief valve and the spring.

Notice: Fill oil pump cavities with petroleum jelly prior to installation. This will ensure that there is oil pressure immediately on start-up and will prevent engine damage.
