Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 262407  Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine oil level indicator from the guide tube (1).
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the one bolt and guide tube from the oil pump (2).
  4. Remove the guide tube oil seal (3) from the oil pump (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 262407  Size: SH
  1. Install a new guide tube oil seal to the oil pump (2).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the guide tube to the oil pump. Secure the guide tube with one bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the guide tube bolt to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Install the engine oil level indicator to the guide tube.
  7. Start the engine and check for oil leaks around the guide tube.
