Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 175910 Size: MH
  1. Install the stabilizer shaft links (9) to the stabilizer shaft (1). Secure the shaft with two nuts. Do not tighten fully.
  2. Install the stabilizer shaft bushings (4) to the stabilizer shaft (1).
  3. Lubricate the stabilizer shaft bushings (4) with super lube GM P/N 12346241 or equivalent.

  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Important: For correct centering of the stabilizer shaft, align the color painted marks on the stabilizer shaft to the outside of the mount bushings.

  8. Install two link cushions (7), two link washers (6), and two link nuts (5) to the stabilizer shaft links at the control arms.
  9. Tighten

        • Tighten the stabilizer shaft mounting bracket bolts (3) to 28 N·m (20 lb ft).
