Voltage applies through the BACK fuse to the transaxle range switch when the ignition switch is in the ON position or the START position. When you move the manual selector lever to the Park position and depress the brake pedal, the voltage applies through the closed contacts of the transaxle range switch and the stoplamp switch to the shift lock solenoid. The shift lock solenoid permanently grounds at G400. When the voltage applies, the shift lock solenoid energizes. The shift lock solenoid releases the manual selector lever locking mechanism.
