Removal Procedure
- Remove the following components:
• | The left side wheelhouse panel |
- Remove the 2 nuts
and position the washer fluid reservoir assembly (4) in order to gain
access to the washer pump (6).
- Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
- Disconnect the washer hose (7).
- Remove the front washer pump (6) from the reservoir (4).
Installation Procedure
- Install the front washer
pump (6) to the washer fluid reservoir (4).
- Connect the washer pump electrical connector.
- Connect the washer hose (7).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the reservoir
assembly (4) to the vehicle. Secure the reservoir assembly with 2 nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the washer fluid reservoir retaining nuts to 13 N·m
(115 lb in).
- Install the left side wheelhouse panel. Secure the panel with
6 screws and 5 plastic clips.
