Did you perform the System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the radio connector.
  3. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter from the radio connector cavity 11 to ground.
  4. Measure the voltage.

Does the multimeter read the approximate battery voltage?

  1. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter from the radio connector cavity 11 to cavity 9.
  2. Measure the voltage.

Does the multimeter read the approximate battery voltage?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

  1. Inspect for an open in WHT wire between the junction block and the radio.
  2. If the wire is OK, replace the junction block.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter from the radio connector cavity 4 to cavity 9.
  2. Measure the voltage.

Does the multimeter read the approximate battery voltage?

Go to Step 7

  1. Inspect for an open in BLK wire between the radio and ground G202.
  2. If the wire is OK, remove the radio for repair.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect the radio connector for terminals shorted together.
  2. If the terminals are OK, remove the radio for repair.

  1. Inspect for an open in the WHT/BLK wire between the junction block and the radio.
  2. If the wire is OK, remove the radio for repair.
