The instrument cluster assembly includes the following
gauges:
• | The speedometer/odometer |
• | The engine coolant temperature gauge |
• | The tachometer (if equipped) |
These gauges are serviceable from the instrument cluster assembly. Refer

The speedometer head consists of the following components:
• | The total mileage odometer |
The speedometer cable mechanically drives the following components:
A vehicle speed sensor is attached to the back of the speedometer head.
The vehicle speed sensor provides vehicle speed information to the powertrain
control module (PCM). Automatic transaxle equipped vehicles have an additional
vehicle speed sensor located at the top of the transaxle.
The instrument cluster assembly includes the following indicators:
• | The up-shift indicator (manual transaxle) |
• | The daytime running lamps (DRL) |
