Crank No Start (LX9) Only - keywords G106 ground loose no spark start stud terminal

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A vehicle might exhibit a condition of a crank no start. This condition will cause no spark with no codes setting.

The first thing to check is ground G106 (LX9 only) on the upper transmission bell housing stud. If this ground is clean and tight make sure you check the terminal crimp on the wire for looseness.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
