Alarm Goes Off When Performing a Remote Start - keywords button content deterrent fob key lights park RVS theft

This PI has been revised to add the 2006 Model Year. Please discard PIC3861.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer might complain that when using Remote Vehicle Start (RVS) the alarm will sound. This condition has been root caused as an internal key fob concern.

Replace the both key fobs and reprogram the system using the latest Tech 2 software.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
