The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Recent TAC cases has indicated an issue with 2006 4T65E SRTA transmission replacements which cause harsh shift and/or 1-2 shift sag. There have also been reports of no adapt learn after the installation of a SRTA transmission. This appears to be isolated to the transmission code 6JMB.
Cause has been determined to be incorrect drive and driven sprocket tooth count. Vehicles have been found to have 35/35 tooth count. The correct tooth count combination for drive and driven sprockets is 33/37.
Corrections are in process. Until they are complete affected assemblies can be repaired by replacing the drive and driven sprockets with the correct tooth count.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
