DTC B367F 58: Roof Stowed Ready to Latch Sensor Circuit incorrect reaction after event

DTC B367F 59: Roof Stowed Ready to Latch Sensor Circuit circuit/component protection time out

Circuit/System Description

S13 is the Folding Top Front Location Pin Position switch. The Folding Top Control (FTC) Module uses S13 to determine if the folding top is stored in the rear compartment. S13 closes and pulls the signal circuit low when the folding top is not stored in the rear compartment.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The Folding Top Control (FTC) module is being commanded.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

An open or short to ground is detected on the signal circuit of S13.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The top is disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The fault is no longer present and the top completes one cycle.

Diagnostic Aids

   • 

DTC B1010 08 will set in conjunction with DTC B367F.

   • 

A weak battery may cause DTC B367F 59 to set.

   • 

A short to B+ may damage S13.

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Disconnect S13.
  2. Use a scan tool to monitor Folding Top Downstack Reciever Sw.
  3. The scan tool should indicate In Position.
  4. If scan tool does not indicate In Position, test the signal circuit of S11 for a short to ground.
    If circuit OK, replace FTC Module.
  5. Connect a fused jumper wire between the signal circuit of S13 and ground.
  6. Use a scan tool to monitor Folding Top Downstack Reciever Sw.
  7. The scan tool should indicate Not In Position.
  8. If scan tool does not indicate Not In Position, test the signal circuit of S13 for an open or high resistance.
    If circuit OK, replace FTC Module.
  9. Test the low reference circuit of S13 for a short to voltage. If circuit test OK, replace S13.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
