Removal Procedure
Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Reposition the surge tank outlet hose clamps at the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
Remove the surge tank outlet hose from the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
Remove the radiator outlet hose from the oil cooler.
Remove the oil cooler bolts.
Remove the oil cooler.
Installation Procedure
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Position the oil cooler to the engine block.
Install the oil cooler bolts and tighten to
22 N·m (16 lb ft)
.
Install the radiator outlet hose to the oil cooler.
Position the radiator outlet hose clamp at the oil cooler.
Install the surge tank outlet hose to the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
Position the surge tank outlet hose clamps at the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
